The natural green landscape and the breathtaking view of the area give this Francestown resort absolutely perfect and ideal importance.
2. About the Crotched Mountain Resort- Comforts and Facilities
This Francestown resort has a number of perks and comforts- starting with a beautiful golf course and a vast playground. It features tennis courts and arcade rooms where you can enjoy sporty activities with friends and family.
For a self-relaxing time, you can enjoy the outdoor pool, the hot tub/jacuzzis, bathroom showers, and the hot tub/s, and to your surprise, free toiletries too!
The front desk serves visitors on all seven days of the week. I have briefed the front desk hours below:

Crotched Mountain Resort offers amazing room services. This 3-star hotel has 24 furnished rooms that are boasted comfortable facilities of fireplaces and living areas. The premium bedding and sitting areas along with extra bed facilities (with an additional fee) will give a “home-sweet-home” feeling.
Along with these 24 rooms, the resort provides two-bedroom suites to visitors. It offers rooms for disabled guests, family rooms, and non-smoking rooms as well. Splendid! (sounds like I should start packing already!)
And this is not it! The comfy beds and sofas come with a fair and neat facility of air conditioning, a private bathroom (with of course, a private hot tub), and a coffee and tea machine. There is a flat-screen TV and telephone for further ease for the guests. Mind-blowing, isn’t it?
Let me add more of what will amaze you. This mountain resort has Free Wifi! (Yes you heard it right free wifi!) Yet other resort amenities include alarm clocks, blackout curtains, hair dryers, heating, satellite/cable channels, towels, and internet access (wireless).
They even feature laundry services and ironing facilities and daily housekeeping.
Additionally, the rooms also have fully equipped kitchens with accessible features that include a refrigerator and a microwave. You can even access a mini bar and lounge! -ooh la la!

The main building is constructed within patios and offers a good area for on-site hiking trails and jogging trails among the granite rolling hills.

The restaurant-cum-pub offers a surprisingly affordable and fantastic range of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. They serve a varying number of cocktails and beers along with the facilities of dining outside, giving you a beautiful view to enjoy the food with.
The restaurant holds live music performances every Friday without any extra charges. You can enjoy all genres of music including rock and country music-suit yourself!

Alberto’s Italian Restaurant will get you everything and anything you expect from an Italian dining place. The restaurant has an old school and traditional ambiance, didn’t I tell you why? Well, it was actually a house that the family decided to turn into a restaurant.

They serve both American and Italian food- steaks, pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, seafood, and whatnot!
The place will make you feel at home so be prepared because it will take a while to forget the delicious food and comfort of the place.

An eight minutes drive from Crotched Mountain Resort will take you to an amazing place- Common Place Eatery. This restaurant is a great place for lunch and breakfast and will satisfy your taste buds for sure!
This American cafe is wheelchair accessible and offers takeout services and table seating. The place is perfect to start your day with a tasty fluffy omelet and home-like fries. The friendly staff and great taste will make you want to visit again.
The place is closed on Mondays but welcoming for the remaining six days. So dine in!

6.4 Lake Horace aka Weare Reservoir
A 29 minutes drive from Crotched Mountain Resort will take you to Lake Horace, originally known as Weare Reservoir. This lake was constructed as a reservoir for the people of New Hampshire.
The lake covers 268 acres and facilitated the supply of water to Glenn Lake in Goffstown during summer. This ensured the supply of power for the Gregg’s Falls power plant.
Today, Lake Horace is a beautiful picaresque spot for canoeing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. It attracts tourists throughout the day- a very busy time though.
And the Lake is full of Bryozoans. You might wonder what that is… Bryozoans are aquatic invertebrates, sometimes called “moss animals.” You will find plenty of these here. Some are quite small but others are up to 2 feet in diameter- like fleshy jelly-like balls!
While around the area, I would recommend you visit the Lake early in the morning or later in the daytime. These hours are perfect for you to enjoy the fun splashing activities!

The minimum age to check in at the resort is 21. At the front desk, you will be greeted by the staff. And yes, pets are not allowed!

9. Cleanliness and Safety Security at the Crotched Mountain Resort
The staff at Crotched Mountain Resort takes special enhanced care for sanitation and cleaning. Disinfectants are used to clean the property and towels and sheets are washed at hotter temperatures on a regular basis.
The Resort provides contactless front desk services. Social distancing is practiced post Covid-19, keeping in mind the safety of both the staff and the guests. Hand sanitizers are also provided.
